Biblical Archaeology: Purple Dye Unearthed in Roman Bath
The first woman to believe in Christ in ancient Philippi was Lydia, a seller of purple fabric (Acts 16:14). Evidence of the dye, made from ancient sea snails, has been excavated at the Roman Baths in Carlisle, United Kingdom.
